Frequently Asked Questions
Can workspace admins see who voted in an anonymous poll?
No. Pollito uses a cryptographic double-urn architecture. Participation records (used to prevent double votes) and ballot urns (used to store choices) are stored in completely separate database tables with one-way salted hashes. Not even our own infrastructure engineers can tie a specific user to their ballot choice.
How does quorum auto-closing work?
When creating a poll, you can set a quorum target (e.g., 75% of channel members or a specific number of votes). As soon as the threshold is met, Pollito locks the options, marks the poll as completed, and triggers a celebratory summary update.
What permissions does Pollito request?
Pollito requests the minimum scopes required to operate:
commands: To handle/pollitoslash commands.chat:write: To post interactive poll cards in channels and threads.channels:read&groups:read: To calculate active member counts for quorum percentages.im:write: To send non-voters gentle, opt-out reminders before deadlines.
